In Need of Sponsor

I am active dancer of Lumad Basakanon. Dancing is one of my talents that I could be proud of. I am happy whenever I dance and being part of this group for 13 years is really awesome.

Aside from Sinulog,  some of the members of  Lumad Basakanon preparing for the up coming pre- screening for  passionata gleek squad competition which will be on December 4. We really wanted to join this big competition to show to the world that we are not only good dancing in Sinulog but we also good in singing and of course dancing.

One of the problems that we are facing now is we don’t have financial assistance for the said competition. We have lots of things needed such as costumes, mbt shoes, props, musical arrangement, and even snacks. Some of us attended the practices without even eating dinner. We are hoping that people with good heart will share their blessing to our group. Your donation and sponsorship is really appreciated.

Amazing Body

Last Tuesday, our group Lumad Basakanon had a meeting. The agenda of the meeting were about our bookings and victory party. Before the meeting started, my co- dancers were amazed with my figure. They were asking if I am taking fat burner or any remedies that I applied or performed. They even told me that it would have been great if I had that body during the Sinulog Festival.  I just simply told them that walking up and down the stairs makes me slimmer and looks great.

After that conversation, I went to the choreographer’s house and played “Plant versus Zombies”. After one hour of waiting, we finally started the meeting.

Sinulog Photo Contest : Mikhail Arrogante Rules!

In this year Sinulog Photo contest, Mikhail Arrogante stands out among the 1000 photographers. He garnered the awards of Grand winner; 1st, 3rd and 6th place in Contingent category; 1st place in Fluvial/ Procession Category; 4th and 5th place in Sidelights/Route Decor/ Onsite Decor respectively.

His photos are really amazing. A photo can only be excellent if you are professional. However, due a new technology today you can capture a certain subject and uplift its beauty with an aid of digital cameras. Having a digital camera is vital now days.  Capturing the significant moments of your life is one of the most valuable and indispensable way of living the life to the fullest.

His winning piece subject is the Lumad Basakanon contingent. It was shoot with full of energy, vibrant and life.

All of the winning photos were exhibited at the ground floor of SM, Cebu.

1. Wouldn’t it be easy to perform a somersault.
2. Lumad Basakanon is better than ever!
3. I love the taste of pineapple juice .
4. My feathered headdress is in the living room.
5. The first thing we’re going to do is save money to buy refrigerator.
6. Beware the snatcher drip, drip, drip; beware people who are not true they will bite you .
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to bring Chloe to her grandmother, tomorrow my plans include attend a seminar at CAP and attend Sinulog Practice and Sunday,  hear mass and present a dance at Holy Cross Church and San Roque Mambaling.

Sinulog 2010 Photo Contest Winners

Today will be the awarding ceremony at 1:00 p.m SM foodcourt, Cebu City, Philippines of the most prestigious contest in the field of photography. This contest was participated by numerous professionals, amateur and novice photographers here and abroad.

One of the guest performers of the said event is Lumad Basakanon of Basak, San Nicolas. This group was considered as the most photograph of all contingent. Honestly, I didn’t know the reason why is this group considered as one. This is just what I heard from the people of Sinulog Foundation.
