Dress Code

We went to Siquijor last March 30 – April 2 of this year. Our itinerary on day 2 was church and beach hopping. Most of us wore short pants, sleeveless, t shirt. In other words, we were ready to be in the beach that be in the church. We got in the church, even if we do not wear proper dress. Until we arrived at the San Juan Parish Church, as we about to got in, there was a poster saying recommended “parish clothing“. So the group decided not to got in. Instead, I just took pictures outside the church, rest for awhile and we enjoyed each others company as well as the beautiful scenery of Capilay Spring Park in Siquijor.

So, it is best to separate the church and beach hopping to avoid conflict in terms of dress coding.

Ceres Bus Liner Schedule for Bacolod

At 7:20 a.m will be my flight bound for Bacolod. This is the most expensive flight I ever purchased. I blamed myself of not booking it a head of time. I only purchased it yesterday at 7:03p.m at Skyliner Emall. I payed 3, 650 peso for the air fare.

The reason also why I didn’t booked it earlier for I decided to do it in land trip using Ceres Bus Liner. I went to their garage area near at Taboan and asked for the bus schedule.

Here is the schedule CEBU to BACOLOD

Route

Toledo via Escalante  =   5:15 am / 10:15 a.m/ 3:00 p.m

Toledo via Don Salvador =  4:30 am/ 9:45 am.

Toledo Via Canlaon   =  5:30 a.m

Tabuelan via Escalante = 5:00 am/ 7:30 p.m

Bato Barili via Mabinay- Kabangkalan. = 1:45 a.m/ 6:30 a.m.

You can call their office at 032- 345-86-50. Rates will depend on the route and type of bus. You will also pay 200 hundred peso for the barge fee.

As I inquire to friendly staff of Ceres Bus, They recommended to me to take Tabuelan via Escalante because I wanted to be at the Bacolod before 8 a.m. The seminar that I will be attending will start at 8:00 am. According to them, the travel time will run approximately 9 hours. I know that can be stressful and I maybe exhausted. This will be boring most especially I will be traveling alone.

I was really confused what to do. Good thing that my husband, suggested me to take the airplane. He will just provide me the meals and accommodation for the said seminar. I really thank God for giving me a very understanding and generous husband.

Libera

I am a fan of Showtime, one of the television shows in the Philippines that showcase the talent of Filipinos. Showtime seeks not only performers but also entertainers. The set up of the show is predictable for they have the same format like after all the contestants performed, guest performer follows. One thing which is unpredictable in Showtime is there guest performer itself.

It was April 14,2010 when I and Chloe were the only people left in our house watch Showtime. It was just an ordinary day to me. The usual thing that I expected to see. When Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda, and 2 guys from music world( whom I didn’t know their names) announced the name of the performers, I could not get what they said. There were group of boys wearing white long dress.  Physically they were not Filipinos for their accent was different moreover, skin and hair color were totally different. When the music started, I was struck with their voices. They were singing our very own,” Ang Bayan Ko”. As I heard them singing, I had a ghost bump. They were fantastic singers. They have an angelic voice. To be honest, I am emotional person, hearing them sing our own national song with full passion and love made me shed some tears. Without any second thought, I grab my phone and record it. Here is what I got.

After they sang, the hosts showed their album. That is the only time I knew their group Libera.

“Libera is a non-profit all-boy vocal group directed by Robert Prizeman. Their name comes from their signature song “Libera,” which is based on the Libera Me portion of the Requiem Mass. “Libera” is the Latin word for “free”. Most of the boys in Libera come from the parish choir of St. Philip’s, Norbury, in South London”.
