Ligo Dagat!

I’m excited to go swimming this summer again. The sister of my mother-in-law will go to Hong Kong  and when she gets back, we will go swimming to the beach where she haven’t been yet. We are all so excited! Ofcourse, I’m going to buy a new outfit for the beach. I also buy a bikini for Kate Ashley and for Kassandra, I think her bathing suit will be OK already. She used it once and it is still good as new. read more »

University of Cebu’s struggle

In 2002, University of Cebu faced great challenged. This challenge made the institution became one of the strongest institution in Central Cebu. It was April of the same year when the entire high school building was burnt. Facing with this challenge was not only felt by the president but also teachers and students as well. I am a newly hired teacher then. I really felt the needs of the students. We just hold our classes at the lobby using long wooden table with chair. Each classes were just separated using a bulletin board. You can just imagine how the noise destructs the student’s learning. In other words, the place is not conducive for learning.

However, University is a big institution and I am sure that it has a business insurance. Building a new infrastructure was just easy for them. In just a year, UC erected new face of high school building. All of us were happy and enjoyed its new classroom and facilities.

First time at Maribago Beach Resort

It was 2003 when the high school department went to Maribago Beach Resort, one of the resort here in Cebu City. Being in that place was a great experience to cherished. It was my first time having beach function at one of the best resorts in our place.

One of our activity was inter-level presentation. One of the presentations which I like most was when Mrs. Mercader Soccorro, one of the senior teachers performed as a rapper. This was really opposite in her real life setting. She was known to be reserved for she was an ex-nun but that day was totally different. All of the teachers were really amazed with her performance.

The whole day activity was really full of fun and surprises. In fact, some of the teachers who happens also my friends and co- department agreed to stay at the place. Since the room accommodation was somewhat expensive, we just agreed to stay at any vacant patio furniture. It was indeed a memorable experience, we didn’t have any blanket. We just slept donning swim wear. Can you just imagine how we struggle the coldness of the night? But we survived.

Reward for myself at Gallery Korean Hair Salon

Last Monday April 12 of this year, I gave a reward for myself which is ” Hair make-over”. I together with Abcill and Helda went to Gallery, a Korean hair specialist salon.

I used to have a wavy hair which I do like I just wanted to keep it that way. So, I decided not to have a hair rebond but instead I settled for hair cellophane. Only that day that I was educated that in “hair cellophane”, it has a color. I thought it just make your hair glossy.  I was really curious about it, so I search online what is this hair cellophane. Here is the result of my search.

The “cellophane” treatment being referred to is actually a semi-permanent color service that uses no pigment in the hair color formula. Instead clear glossing agents are used which get deposited into the hair adding substance and shine by filling and plumping the shaft and sealing the cuticle layer. The result is hair that looks healthier and shinier, and feels silkier than before. It also makes the natural color more vibrant and lush by increasing the light refraction due to the shine.

After that treatment, my hair become silkier and smoother. The dryness was gone. I used to rolled my hair and tangled it each other and it doesn’t fall off. But now, when I rolled it and tangled it, it falls off. So, it means that my hair now is shinny and healthy. I’m happy with the result.

For sure, I will be back at Gallery by June for a new me. Ops., by the way here are the prices of their services.

University of Cebu Quadruple Celebration

March 23, 2010 was the schedule of our graduation day. It is a customary that after graduation, the University of Cebu Teachers will have a celebration. We had lunch at the high school avr. The difference of this year was, it was a quadruple celebration.

1. Celebration for graduation

2. Birthday Bash

3. Honorary for UC faculty who will retire

4. Welcoming the UC Alumni Officers

Let us take it one by one.

1. Celebration for graduation. Congratulations to all our graduates. You may continue to walk in a right path and achieve your goals in life.

2. The birthday bash.  The celebration caters the celebrants of February, March and April. Luckily, I was assigned last year for the presentation. Here are the celebrants.

3. Honorary for UC faculty who will retire. It is my first time to observe this event in UC community. I been teaching for 8 years (quite long right?) but I haven’t seen this giving honor to the retirees.

Mrs. Mercader Soccoro and Ms. Teresa Par will be retiring this year. These women are great in their respective fields. To you mam, good luck, good health and God bless you always.

4. Welcoming the UC Alumni Officers. The president of UC Alumni association is Ms. Anna Trauzona.( I don’t know if I got it right for her family name). She happens to be one of the teachers in UC Nursing Department. Aside from being a teacher and with sense of humor, she has a powerful voice. Everybody loves her voice.

This is really a big celebration for this year.
