Stay-at-Home Dad earns $;Visayas Blogging Summit

Blogging is one of the source of income now a days. It may or may not be stable as those who worked in the office but it may be the source of an upliftment to someone’s morale, finances, confidence and even to fame.

Blogging was introduced to my  sister Pj, who happens to be a blogger  since 2005.  I was convince to blog for she’s earning. i would say that I am persistent person. I welcomes change especially the kind of field that I am into.  I started using blogger as a flat form. Studying it by dealing with how to code. Then, it broaden my horizon. I doodles and codes using wordpress. That’s how the birth of buhatsatambay.com. This site is my holy ground!.

I used to work in Gillamac Inc. as system engineer. In the night time, I have sideline working as outsource programer. This sideline was given by my friend. I just earned as small as $20 for it will just depend on  how much my friend will gave me. However, I didn’t complain because for me, “it’s  just a start”. I  can be better someday. I am a type of person who doesn’t look it as work that I must work for it for I will earned it. One must love it, learn it and you will reap it which is something that you can be happy. Last year, I resigned in Gillamac for I find haven working at home as a home-based web developer. Now, the company I am working with was based in the U.S. I would say that I am well- compensated. My salary was sent via paypal. Now, I have lots of time in our family, I even have time helping my wife organized her dance troupe for I also love dancing. Through this, me and my wife founded and manage dance group ‘”Upsurge Dance Cru”. I am  also into designing. I made most of the t-shirt designs worn by our dancers. This is how I excelled in my field.

One of the reasons, of such success in my field as side from learning it through internet was joining an event that caters the needs of writers, web developers, businessmen, and even educators. These event such as Cebu Blog Camp and World’s Blogging Day are great time and chance to meet other people in the field of social networking. Learning from their experience, learning what hip and what’s not. As we can see, learning is an never ending process.

Hiatus in Blogging

It’s been 3 months since the last time I blogged. I been I honest to you friends that I didn’t have time to blog likewise laptop barriers. Ever since my hp laptop was changed to mac book (which I don’t appreciate at first for it has different features), I don’t like to use it for I was confuse with keys of the keyboard plus it doesn’t have a right click, huh! It made me terrified the moment I used it. I may have to use a mouse to save my day but even the time in buying a mouse, I don’t even have. Gosh! that’s how busy I am.

Time came I bought a pink mouse, it just landed at the cabinet for 2 weeks for I still don’t have time to use my laptop. Consequently, I became procrastinator in blogging. Plus, I got discourage with my traffic. Oh noh! it was very far… hhuuhuh… Good thing that my sister in law maintains this  blog so she still earning.

Summertime is fast approaching, I am sure that I will have more time in blogging…. I hope so….

Meticulous Owner

I accept that I am meticulous in some aspect especially in keeping my house clean. I always reprimand my house helper the process of cleaning. As to some other point, she sometimes forgot  my instruction. One incident which I never forget is when she clean the floor. Shes just simply use broom to get rid the dirt. How could that be cleaned? I told her to wipe it with sponge with water and little soap. After wiping, she must use a dry rug and wipe the floor to make it dry. Once it is already dry, she will wipe it again with wax, let it dry then she will scrub the floor. The process it somewhat tiring but very rewarding at the end.  After several months of cleaning the floor with that process, I noticed that it became pale. I wanted to replace it before my birthday will come. Starting today, I will look for discount laminate flooring so the house will have full of life again.

My Blogs

Currently I have four blogs. These blogs have different types and styles. The buhat sa tambay  is more on personal blog, babycoy blog is about my baby’s journey to life ( which I am guilty of not updating it), mapeh is more on lessons that I’ve teach and activities in school, and the lumad basakanon is about our group lumadbasakanon’s updates and whereabouts.

Having four blogs is not easy especially in maintaining its traffic. Oftentimes, I neglected the two blogs. Consequently, I wanted to organize and manage my time so it will not be lost. Talking about the maintaining the traffic, I consider some promotional products which I could give to my supporters and future followers. In this way, they will know that those blogs exists.

As I search in the internet, I came across usimprints.com. They offer wide variety of promotional products such as keychain, drinkware, pens and pencil, umbrellas and many more. I need to figure it out as to what should I give and i need also to consider my budget. This is what I have learn, you must invest to promote your product or else you will never be recognize.
