Tonight will be the screening of Lumad Basakanon, one of the groups who participate the annual Sinulog Festival here in Cebu, Philippines.There were about 200 hundred applicants who wants to join the circle of Lumad. For those who wants to witness the screening, the gym( Basak Gym) is open to everyone.
Lumad Basakanon was the champion of Sinulog 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008. They also hailed as three times champion of Aliwan Festivals of Festival held in Manila, Philippines .
This year is a great challenge of Lumad Basakanon for the group was defeated by Buyogan Festival of last year’s festival. New trend was being sought by the judges to the group in which they didn’t find it.
So to the choreographers and dancers, good luck for 2010 contest.
