My new found skill

Every since I was kid, I used to love drawing. I remember my favorite subjects are house and Victorian dress.

Kids before loves to draw this for this is dream dress they wanted to wear unlike now a day, it is sexier and lesser clothes.

In high school, I was influence to engage in abstract design. One of my classmates is good in tattooing. He only uses a ball pen and started his masterpieces in the hands of my classmates. He then put a talc powder to eliminate the glossy effect of ball pen. The finish work looks like a real tattoo. Since then, I started liking it and follow. I have had been doing it until now that I am a teacher, however the some of the medium has changed. I’m no longer doing it in the hands nor in any parts of the body but I do it in the paper. Sad to say, I didn’t have a sketch pad for this. Whenever I got bored, I started doing abstract designs whatever paper I am holding. Guess, I finally realize it now, when I am writing this. I will buy a sketch pad and start my masterpieces.

During college days, I also remember I got a flat 1.0 in Art and Humanities. One of the things that we had drawn was sketching a human face. My subject was Abby Beduya or also known as Priscilla Almeda.

Of course, this is not my sketch. I lost the copy of it. Sayang! I would have been scan it and post it here. Nevertheless, good thing there are photos that are accessible in the internet.

But now, it was changed. I seldom draw for I used to write lesson plan and compute grades.  Sometimes I just do the abstract designing whenever I got bored.

For today, I found a new skill which I am happy for it. What I am up to? I am up to banner/badge/button/logo and header designing using adobe Photoshop CS3. Designing into a next level is one of the achievements that I had. My husband is a web designer and programmer. I just don’t like to rely all the things I’d like in all my blogs. I started to learn this Photoshop when I wanted to have a badge but he was busy then to make it for me. So, I started to explore.

Summer is Hot

Summer is fun yet is hot. Doing outdoor activities is absolutely great during this time however safety precautions must be observed. On the other hand, staying indoor can be fun too provided you have a cool ambiance. Thus, having faux wood blinds are perfect way of spending time together with your family especially during summer.

There are lots of activities which you can do whether indoor and outdoor. Here are my personal lists of suggestive activities.

Indoor activities

• board games
• movie marathon
• making shakes, halo-halo
• blogging
• playing online games
• cleaning the house
• sleeping
• exercising

Outdoor activities

• beach outing
• playing volleyball (beach volley)
• mountain hiking
• exercise
• hanging out with friends
• visiting distant relatives

Would like to suggest what activities suitable for indoor and outdoor especially for summer? Please feel free to add.

Live life to the fullest

Live life to the fullest. Enjoy the life that is being bestowed by our almighty God. Though, you must also think its advantages and disadvantages. If we abuse the life that is made from the image and likeness, we also abuse God.

We will not know when we will be the end of our life. It could be anytime and anywhere. If it is your time, no matter how will you try to avoid that thing, you will haunt down. If you will be gone in this world, will you be ready? Does your family ready? Will you leave them with problems? or you will leave them with heirs? How will you deal your life while you are still alive? Will you care to have a life insurance?

If you want to have a secure life and enjoy the life to the fullest, you must have avail life insurance. The moment you avail it, make sure that the life insurance policy is clear to you.  It must be suitable to your needs. Do not just rely on what the agent offers to you. If the policy is obscure, do not hesitate to ask. Lastly, religiously monitor and pay your monthly dues on time in order to avoid inconveniences.

So what you are waiting for, invest and act. Live life to the fullest.

I felt guilty

As Ms. Anna presented this during our celebration, I really felt guilty. I was about to cry when I read the entire message.

This is a wakeup call to all sons and daughter who happens to be neglecting their parents. In my case, my mother is still at her 50’s. This message makes me realize how important the understanding and taking care of our parents as they get old. Some of us take them literally but not that with understanding.

Take time to read it, especially when you are alone.
