HEPATITIS B
Last January 16, 2009 i have heard a news (BAD news) coming from my brother when he called me that my nephew his son has infected the so called HEPA B virus. I was stunned at the moment my brother told me, coz i am helping him the school tuition fees.
My sister in-law cried when the doctor told them there’s no medicine for that virus, i myself felt the same way when i saw my sister in-law’s teary eyed . Boutan ako nephew i have no complain for him. But i keep on asking why is it for all the people live on this planet earth why my nephew got infected while there’s a lot out there na badlungon sa katilingban. Why my nephew why? I’v read a lot of references on website still the majority is NO CURE. He has a lot of dreams, and so are we his family. Yes, there’s a prevention of what we called as vaccination. But when you’re affected there’s no treatment for it as per references i’v read. But can be controlled to a point that it will cause little harm to the body, most especially to the liver. http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs204/en/
Almost all viral infection cannot be cured, even the common flu virus.
This is because the virus would hi-jack the cell itself, and use its genetic material for its replication. The consequence is several fold; one, once inside the cell the virus replicates without detection from the immune system. two, you will have to destroy the entire cell itself to halt the progression of the replication which is usually not medically viable.
The body produces immunoglobulins against viruses once detected, however, it is usually too late because the virus has replicated a thousand fold infecting other healthy cells.
Another consideration would be how the virus adapts to the immune system of its susceptible host. It can actually change its genetic material and produce defense mechanism(s) to resist anything that can be mounted against it.
So in short, it has defensive capabilities and replication strategies that would otherwise hamper a medical intervention.
Because of this, we should be very careful of our lifestyle. We can prevent it by helping ourselves.
Is there any effects of an eclipse to a pregnant woman?
Some were excited to witness an eclipse but some were afraid.
Last January 26, an annular solar eclipse – the first of the six eclipse events this year – was observed in the country. I was informed by my co – teacher that there will be an eclipse at 4:00 p.m. She wasn’t sure if it was true. If it is true she advised me hid in a dark place for she believes that there is an effect to the pregnant woman. Based on what she observed, others may have difficulty in her delivery; others may have a baby with defects. I told her abruptly that whether it is true or not, I must believe on what you said. I called my husband to check if there is an eclipse. After he reads the news at the internet, he confirmed that there will be an eclipse at 4:00p.m and another will be on February and July. So I hide before the said time.
Perhaps I could say there is an effect of an eclipse because as of February, one of my cousins who gave birth in caesarean section; the daughter in- law of my co – worker also experience the same way of giving birth.
On the other hand, last February 9, another eclipse begins when the Moon enters penumbra at 8:36 p.m. and ends the following morning at 12:39 a.m. I and my husband heard this over the radio as we rode on a taxi. I was afraid that we might be caught by the traffic and I will be hit by an eclipse. Fortunately, we able to make it, we arrived in our home 45 – minutes before 8:00 p.m. I just stayed inside our house. Out of curiosity, my husband went out and took some pictures of the moon. However, due to its cloudy atmosphere, he wasn’t able to capture even one.
As I wrote this, I am upset with the effect of this eclipse to my pregnancy. Imagine, there are four more eclipses that will hit in our country. The next lunar eclipse is my expected due date. I just hope, that God will save me this day.

HARI NG KALSADA?
Everyday, I rode on a jeep. It took me about 35 minutes travel from Minglanilla to Cebu City. One of the things that I have noticed was the sprinting of public utility jeep especially the PUJ for Carcar, Sibonga route. I bragged them as risk takers. They really are. They have the edge to be the “HARI ng Kalsada” (King of the Road).
Gone are those days that the “Chariot” is being marked as the King of the Road for its structure and considered as one of the products made by Filipinos. But now, it was changed. It was change to a canter; elf or we call it mini bus. Due to its built, engine performance and risk taker drivers, they have the spirit to soar you in your specific destination without compromising your time.
However, the question is; is it safe to ride that kind of jeep? The answer to that question is absolutely NO. No, because the driver doesn’t follow the road law, specifically with the violations of “68D overtaking at an unsafe distance” and “55 reckless driving”. This is always what they did especially if the area is too wide like in Lipata, Minglanilla. I even experienced this, one time when I drove my car. I and my husband had almost met an accident for the mini bus crosses the next lane. They even put their lights in high. They were not afraid because they really want to tease the other driver; second they were huge compared to other vehicle.
The drivers became so abusive since the penalty of that violation is only 150 pesos for overtaking at an unsafe distance while 1000 pesos for reckless driving. Nevertheless, they should think the consequences might happen. They should also think about the safety of their passengers and co – drivers.
